Position: Senior Research Associate

Eutropics, located in Cambridge, MA has an opening for a motivated laboratory scientist in the capacity of Senior Research Associate. Eutropics is currently preparing a CLIA certified diagnostic test for commercial use. Our technologies rely on the use of the proprietary Praedicare Dx™ assay, which predicts hematologic cancer patient response to specific therapies. These tests  rely on the use of multivariate data applied to predictive algorithms. The role will involve the design and performance of proof-of-principle experiments in cell lines and in patient samples to establish assay readouts, as well as verification and validation studies of these readouts using clinically-derived biopsy patient specimens in the form of blood and bone marrow.

The ideal candidate should have a B.S. with 5-10 years or, alternatively, or M.S. with 4-7 years of laboratory experience, ideally with clinical specimens. Knowledge in preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and familiarity with CLIA guidelines is preferred.

» Fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS)

» Tissue culture

» Expertise in data analysis using multivariate statistical analysis

» Antibody based cellular analysis

» Whole cell purification using Antibody-conjugated magnetic beads

» Blood sample handling, including Ficoll purification

Position: Director of Business Development

Eutropics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is looking for a proven leader to drive commercialization of our proprietary diagnostic technology, Praedicare DxTM. Eutropics is advancing personalized patient care by providing diagnostic information that can be used to guide medical decisions. Praedicare DxTM has proven to be predictive for patient response to currently marketed hematologic oncology therapies and is being readied for commercial launch. This path involves CDx development with partnering companies. The candidate will explore potential partnering opportunities, market development, and commercial deployment of   diagnostic products and services. 

The candidate will have a track record in partnering   with pharmaceutical companies in the personalized medicine spaces. Candidates should have 5-15 years of experience in commercial diagnostics and/or market   development surrounding novel disruptive technology adoption facilitating   strategies. Additional experiences in product pricing through CPT codes,   product assessment, value pricing, strategies for establishing reimbursement, and familiarity with regulatory process are considered strong assets. The ideal candidate will also have experience with leveraging IP value in the business realm to drive commercial growth.

The job will include:

» Establishing marketing strategy based on product assessment

» Development of an understanding of therapeutics/companion diagnostics market dynamics and ecosystem

» Creation of compelling, partner-specific presentations and business cases

» Management of the interactions between partners and internal resources (R&D, operations, legal)

» Taking corporate partnering opportunities to close

» Participation in capital funding activities

» Involvement in IP development for innovations arising from research and development conducted at Eutropics 

Requirements

» MBA  or other equivalent experience. Additional MS/PhD degree in biology, clinical science, or diagnostics would be preferred.

» Development of an understanding of therapeutics/companion diagnostics market dynamics and ecosystem

» 5-15 years of experience in a commercial role in diagnostics and/or therapeutics

» Proven transactional experience within a commercial diagnostics environment

» Strong scientific and technological awareness

» Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

» Energetic and opportunistic, determined

» Affinity for  entrepreneurial, fast-paced organization

» Business case development and basic financial analysis skills
